Hot yoga, also called Bikram yoga, is a series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises in a room heated to 45°C.
Why so hot? In a nutshell, because yoga is easier when your body is warm. You move better, breathe more efficiently and get all the benefits of yoga, but more intensely.
You burn more calories
It lengthens and tones muscles
Reduces stress and eases depression
Increases range of movement in the joints
You become more flexible
It nourishes the skin
You become more relaxed in mind and body

Yes. We've designed the classes to make them suitable for beginners and intermediates as well as more advanced students.
Your teacher will assess your ability levels, guide you through and help you to make progress at a rate that’s comfortable for you.
It’s perfectly OK if you find certain poses difficult or have injuries that restrict your movement. Your teacher will look after you and suggest alternatives.
The room is constantly circulated with clean, warm air at 45°C with 60% humidity. It means your body is the same temperature on the outside as it is on the inside.
It feels warm and fresh, not stuffy or uncomfortable – like being on holiday in a hot country.
You’ll sweat a lot, so make sure you’re well hydrated when you arrive.
As people have known for centuries, yoga has huge benefits for physical and mental health. This is especially so in the heat.
Your joints are surrounded by a liquid called synovial fluid. Like many liquids, it becomes less viscous when it gets warm. Your joints become more mobile and your muscles are easier to stretch and flex. You’ll start noticing a difference after 2 or 3 classes.
The heat also increases your ability to burn calories, which is why it’s so great for losing weight.
Right now, reading this, you’re probably breathing with only the top third of your lungs. Yoga requires calm, regular, full breaths that use maximum lung capacity so therefore your breathing becomes more efficient.
Encouraged by your teacher, you’ll quickly learn how to breathe like a Yogi. The result is less stress, more relaxation and greater alertness.
