Inferno Hot Pilates

What is Inferno Hot Pilates?

Inferno Hot Pilates is a whole-body workout in a room heated to 38°C. It’s the perfect balance of mind, body, strength, flexibility... and great music.

The class is good fun and you’ll laugh a lot, but it’s also incredibly effective. With regular attendance you’ll start to notice a difference after just a few weeks.

  • Longer, leaner muscles
  • Increased core control and muscle strength
  • A healthy and more mobile spine
  • Activated glutes
  • Stronger pelvic floor

Inferno Hot Pilates is zero-impact. There's no running or jumping around, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. You will sweat a lot so don’t forget to bring plenty of water.

Can anyone do it?

Yes. It’s safe and effective regardless of your age or current level of fitness.

Inferno Hot Pilates strengthens not only the core – the energy centre where all movement starts - it also reactivates the glutes. These large muscles often `switch off’ when we have an injury, and deactivated glutes can make us more susceptible to lower back pain.

STRENGTH 2

A bit more about the heat...

Why so hot?

Heat intensifies the benefits. Your muscles quickly loosen up and as you sweat, you burn more calories and your body detoxes.

You come out feeling strong, healthy, flexible and rejuvenated. And sweaty. Did we mention that?

The science

A bit more about Inferno Hot Pilates...

Inferno Hot Pilates uses the principles of Pilates combined with high intensity interval training (HITT).

A series of exercises lasting up to 30 seconds are followed by a 5-10 second rest. This is repeated, exhausting the muscles and creating a build-up of lactic acid known as `the burn’.

Here's why:

It allows the muscles to be broken down and built up close to the bone, creating longer and leaner muscles.

And then there’s the breathing...

Right now, reading this, you’re probably breathing with only the top third of your lungs. Yoga requires calm, regular, full breaths that use maximum lung capacity so therefore your breathing becomes more efficient.

Encouraged by your teacher, you’ll quickly learn how to breathe like a Yogi. The result is less stress, more relaxation and greater alertness.
